Bigger diaper bag?

I saw somebody posted that you need a bigger bag for twins.  That seems pretty logical to me.  It seems as though the petunia pickle bottoms are on sale and I love those.  Will a boxy backpack be big enough?  Is there another style by them that is better?  I would like to get one while they are on sale if they will work.  Thanks!

  • I just got the wistful weekender PPB bag. Honestly, I haven't even filled it up yet. It seems like that would be a good size and the pockets inside of it are great!!! I've always been a fan of oversized purses/bags to begin with though, so I have no doubt that some people would think that the weekender is overkill-even for twins. I'm not too familiar with the backpack.

  • I recently purchased the PPB Abundance Boxy Backpack. It's really huge! I bought it site unseen so I was a little surprised by it's size, but I DO think I'll need the amount of space it has between two infants and a toddler so I'm keeping it. I love the regular boxy backpack, but I think it would get a little small for twins.

  • I actually have two diaper bags.  I did this so that if DH and I ever take them separate (which may be happening this Sunday when we're on the plane), we can each have a bag with the exact stuff in it so that we can do whatever we need to do without having to find the other.  He will be in charge of DD and I will be in charge of DS.  Each bag is packed according to what each will need.

  • Honestly, I don't llike to fill mine up too much, so I'm glad I didn't get a huge one. Mine is an Eddie Bauer one from babies r us. Much like purses, the more space I have, the more stuff I pile in there!

  • I'm not familiar with the diaper bag you're referring to but I have a messenger bag diaper bag. Its the same one I used with my singleton. Once the babies were born, I just started keeping a couple of diapers and wipes in my minivan for DD1 since we rarely changed her when we were out and the diaper bag was just for the babies. I've never felt like the diaper bag was too small for their needs. And I don't carry a purse with my diaper bag, I put my wallet and stuff in my diaper bag.
