First Fever

LO came home from the babysitter with a fever today (100.8).  I was in absolute panic mode   I called the pediatrician and they told me to bring her right over.  He ran labs and said it's just a cold and it has to run it's course. I'm freaked out that her fever is going to go up in the middle of the night.  I don't think I'll be doing much sleeping.  She's spitting up a lot too which makes me worry.  I know it's because she stuffy.  Boo.   I don't have any idea how she got sick (I'm guessing from the babysitters house).  I hate this   He said her fever could last 5 days.

She could've gotten it from the babysitter or anyone else in close contact with her who could've passed it along. I'm sure the pedi told you to suction out her mucous. As much as it sucks it will help your LO in the grand scheme if things. I hope your LO gets better soon!

They said tylenol every 6-8 hrs for the duration of the fever.  Yesterday it shot up to 103 and I about had a fit, but today it's down to 99.3!!  Hoping it stays that way.  My amazing mom that has been a nurse for 40 years came to visit to help so I feel slightly less anxious.
