This is an update to my post from Wed night and my trip to Labor and Delivery. Turns out not only was I preeclamptic according to blood labs and high BP (but ironically not in protein in urine) but I was also contracting on my own. They were 5 min apart and I was 2cm dilated.
Because of my pre-existing medical stuff he felt more comfortable delivering in the afternoon than in the middle of the night if I was to return!
So.. Instead of Nov. 16th c-section happened today on Oct 26th
My son, Vincent Anthony, arrived this afternoon at 1:39 PM. He is 18 inches long band weighed 6 lbs 7 ounces. It's adorable! He's in NICU for now because I was only just about 36 weeks and he needed a little bit of help breathing. So I haven't gotten to hold him yet other than 5 minutes or so in the operating room. My DH has been in to see him a few times, drs say he is doing great. Lowered his O2 already. Hoping I can get in there tomorrow to hold him.C-section went well. Not too bad. Will post birth story tomorrow at some point.
