I love CDing....but my LO's skin apparently does not. I'm at a loss, having tried different detergent s, rash creams, change frequently, use cloth wipes with only water....despite everything I've tried i have to use sposies every couple of weeks when he rashes up. after a day or two of sposies the rash will be gone, and will start to creep back as soon as i start the cds back up. i don't have a million dollars to try more materials and creams and detergents .... So i guess there's no solution to this and i'm just venting my frustration! sometimes it's tempting to just throw my stash out the window!

I use BG and Kawaii. I do bleach them once monthly. I rinse the crap out of them (no pun intended). It may very well be an issue with the suedecloth.
It is a fairly mild rash only in his pee area...he has never had any irritation around the rear end. I'm pretty sure it's not a yeast rash. It goes away completely with rash cream and sposies after a day or so.
I have used liners, but not disposable. That's a good idea - I will probably try it. Even with the liners, though, it sucks using rash creams. The cloth diaper safe ones I have used do not do much for his rash, so I use Boudreaux's butt paste. My LO is almost 5 months now and when I take his diaper off he immediately begins rolling and kicking, and he also can't keep his hands out of his diaper area. So when I try to use creams, even if there is a liner, the creams still get everywhere (including on his hands, which then go into his mouth....ugh!)
Re: rolling and kicking baby: During a diaper change, try giving LO a toy that they never see. We give DD a board book. With it, she'll happily lie there. Without it, she tries to roll on to her belly or dive head-first off the changing table.
ETA: If rash creams aren't working, try baby powder. We use a little at every change, and DD is finally rash-free. Before that, we tried zinc-based creams with disposable liners, a prescription cream for yeast, and bleaching diapers.
