I started reading those PLL books right after C was born. They were so freaking scary (even though they are written for middle schoolers) that I would get all creeped out in the middle of the night and have to hide my Kindle under my bed. I used to be able to read Stephen King and not flinch.
My FFFC: I used to love the National Geographic channel, and loved watching nature shows of all kinds, but especially ones about tigers, bears, snakes, etc. Now, when I even hear the music of one of those shows and see a cute little family of gazelles or mice, I just know they are going to get eaten and it literally makes me feel hot and sweaty. My husband was flipping through the channels the other day and left it on NatGeo out of habit and there was a scene with an elephant baby who was stuck in mud and its mom couldn't get it out and was just freaking out and making elephant noises. I started ugly crying and yelling at my husband to TURN. IT. OFF!! It was not my proudest moment. And I wonder if my hormones are ever going to regulate where this kind of stuff doesn't make me sick anymore...I hope it will be better when I stop BF-ing in a few months!
Ok, so my love of PLL has been validated since you approve, Sooner! Haha!
But seriously, they're on my Kindle list to read if I can ever quit reading the Hunger Games Trilogy. (I'm on my 4th time through... )
ETA: I also meant to say that I'm completely like your second paragraph... and I haven't been bfing for 7 months now. I'm starting to wonder if it's not hormones, but Mom-mones causing it.
Sooner- I can't watch NatGeo anymore either. DH and I were working our way through the series Dexter, but when I was pregnant I couldn't take it anymore.
Not sure if this is a FFFC or what, but I was totally excited to dress DS in fall clothes today! In south Texas, we get very little cool weather, so I have to take advantage when I can. He's in a hoodie and jeans, and DH made fun of me b/c we're only in the 60's today. I did give in and throw a tshirt in his bag in case he got hot at school.
So I guess my confession is that I am totally okay with dressing him for the perception of the weather, rather than the actual temp.
Same here!!! We are in san antonio and I'm so glad ds is wearing his big boy jacket and lil tookie with the fuzzy ball on top! Except now this darn rain needs to go away!! Also since its cold I'm glad ds will be able to wear his costume tonight to a harvest fest down the street and not start sweating cause its hot!
My fffc is I have had to block news feed from a couple of friends. One is pg and everyday its something new with her, she complains non stop and its just annoying. I would understand if she was doing alot and was having a hard time but she isn't, she stays at home and doesn't go anywhere cause she complains that she can't walk because the baby hurts her o_O
Also yesterday I took an extra long time getting ready for the day cause dh was watching the baby and I wanted him to realize how much I do, it worked!

Ok, we might have to make a PLL thread so we don't take over FFFC. I think the body bag is Ali's body since its been missing.
Who do you think was trying to push Aria off the train in that box? Or was she halucinating it? Ahhh! I can't wait till January!
I'm honestly bewildered at the body bag... but Ali's body would make sense. (but when does anything make sense on PLL?)
I'm still reeling over Toby being in league with Mona. At first, I thought it was those two tring to toss Aria off of the train. (and now I'm picturing them with my daughter. GRRR!!!) When I think about it though, it could also have been Jenna and Noel. More likely Toby and Mona though.
Dh doesn't like me to use his expensive beard and mustache trimmers for grooming. So I wait till he's gone to work and use them. Sometimes I don't clean them either. Oops

My FFFC: I love that Ben still wants to snuggle on me to nap and still co-sleeps with us. We all sleep really well, so I'm not pushing him to sleep on his own as much as I could be. It will probably make it harder for us to transition him later, but I am just eating up all of his snuggles for as long as I can. I know he will eventually sleep on his own, in his crib, in his own room, all the way across the house from me....just not yet.
On the PLL topic - seriously, who is their "target audience"? Is it aimed at teenage girls so they can think that sleeping with their cute English teacher is totally going to work out for them???? Some of the themes on that show are crazy when you think about it being on ABC FAMILY and that it is targeted at kids.
megahof: I purposely have bought ZERO Halloween candy yet because I would be eating all the snickers, too. I have to wait until as close to Halloween as possible and then DH is in charge of the leftovers. He hides them so I don't eat them all because I have zero self-control with candy and sweets. He will deliver a couple to me upon request. Can you believe he still has some left from last year???!!!!!!

DH put some of my jeans in the dryer this morning, which I normally don't do because jeans have a tendency to shrink. I made him feel so guilty about it that he offered to take me shopping for a new pair if any of these are messed up. They'll probably be fine, but I wouldn't mind a new pair of jeans!!
In addition to that, I made him feel guilty for leaving early this morning too. He works 1-10 and usually leaves around 12:30, but this morning he told me he was leaving early (around 10) to stop by and help his brother out with something on his computer. I was hoping to pass DD off to him for a couple hours so I could run some errands by myself and give myself a little pedicure, and I was kind of upset that he sprang it on me at the last minute (which he has a bad habit of). I think I might have guilted him into buying me a pedicure too! Man I'm spoiled!

You know, I haven't figured out the target audience yet. My younger sister got me into it... I had DVR and she didn't, so I'd record it for her... she was 17 at the time! I was like "what on earth is this smut you're watching?!" Now I can't shut it off, dangit.
What's more astonishing is that it's one of the better (cleaner?) shows on ABC Fam, IMO. Secret Life of the American Teenager makes me want to gouge my eyes out. I can't watch more than 3 minutes of that show at a time. Gah!!

This. I absolutely love it when G wakes up and snuggles into me. He wakes Hubby up at 4 am every day saying DaDaDaDa over and over. Hubby loves it. People keep telling me I have to change it sooner or later though, I know there is plenty of time for that, he is only this little once.
We bought 6 giant bags of Halloween candy (we get a lot of trick or treaters for our area)... I ate them all... sigh...
Lastly, We live in an old old farm house. We got a mouse. One of our cats caught it and was playing with it. It was still moving around and making noise. I made Hubby save it and put it in our blackberry bushes. He wasn't happy about it. I could not watch the cat kill though. I just couldn't! I envision some little animals coming out of the bushes and fixing it up ala Beatrix Potter or a Brian Jacques novel...
I can BF and play Modern Warfare 2 at the same time...
I still use the swing from time to time.
I just shared a cinnamon toast crunch muffin with Adam.
The other day he found a dead leaf on the floor. He ate it...
Then pooped it out the next morning. It cameout In one piece guess he's trying to tell me he's ready for finger foods. One time he ate a piece of ground beef that fell on the floor. I didn't see it there
My fffc, regarding yesterday's Christmas talk, is that I usually put my tree up at the beginning of November. I love decorating for Christmas and we go home for holidays, so I feel like we get cheated out of enjoying it.
You all talking about brownies, cookies, and candy did not help my PMS cravings...so at lunch I ate 1 1/2 brownies. OMG they were so good. If I wasn't so full from the big giant burrito I had eaten, I would've finished off the other half. However, I saved it and I'm sure it'll be gone before I leave work!
I've never had a FFFC before and I have TWO today!!!
The first is that I don't feel a bond or connection with my stepdaughter. I justify this because I have never spent a significant amount of time with her because she lives out of state. Bonding takes time. This last time we went to see her went so poorly that when we got back, I just thought about how much money we wasted being there and getting there and no one had a good time.
The second is that I work in a college town nearby. Everyone loves this town because it has a cute downtown area and is known for being very ecofriendly. My FFFC is that despite how great it is for the environment, the bikers and pedestrians drive me nuts. They're always in my way. And the public busses everyone raves about cut me off every single day. They drive like they don't have to obey traffic laws.

I like DS2 better than DS1 right now. I know you are never supposed to favor one of your children but DS1 is just being so hard and told me didn't love me the other day :'( All the while DS2 is just smiling and saying Mama. He is so easy it is hard not to want to be around him more. DS1 in no way knows this, but I can't help how I feel. 3 1/2 is tough and 8 months is awesome.
