Does your LO wake at night between feedings?

My twins are almost 3 months and still doing 2 night feedings, but one of them wakes up crying between feedings, usually an hour after the 2 am feeding and other times as well. It only takes a few moments to soothe him back to sleep, but it means broken sleep cycles for both of us. It's almost never due to gas, and he is such a good napper during the day. I have read that transitioning between sleep cycles can cause waking? I am at a loss here but I feel like their sleep should be getting better and not worse. I think I got better sleep when they were eating every 2 hours! Anyone else have the same?
