Am I wrong for wanting to meet BD's new sitter before I allow her around our DD?

P.S. He hired her without her or DD having any interaction. Seems weird to me.

BD and I had a deal that if we met someone or anything to that nature we would allow the other person to meet that person.... well I'm upset that he hired a sitter without me meeting her.

I would be more bothered by the fact that your DD didn't meet this person before he hired her.  How's he to know that DD will warm up to her?  That's so risky to not allow DD to meet the sitter and watch them interact before hiring them.
