recommend your best aplix

Just got the news that I finally have a sitter so I can return back to work. She is a close friend of mine and respects my wishes with choosing to CD but she is a little uneasy about it. I use all snaps and not every diaper fits DS the same so he is on different levels on each diaper. I figured an aplix diaper would be much easier for her and make her feel more comfortable.

The only reason I never chose to go with aplix was because of the Velcro wearing out. So please ladies, recommend your favorite/best aplix diapers. TIA!

Grovia has some pretty awesome covers/AI2's that are made with aplix. They don't pill, and are super strong. I've got two gently-used for sale if you're interested ($10/cover). PM if you're interested.

I'm a fan of BG and RaR aplix. The XS BG AIO's DS wore as a newborn were on 4 previous babies. And the aplix was still holding strong.

I really like the grovia and happy heinys Velcro.  My flips, bgs and blueberry are really sad and useless after less than a year. Thirsties and bummis are getting bad but still usable.

Just a thought but Can you mark the snaps on each diaper with a sharpie. Use a different color when he grows? Not sure if it would wash off after laundry though.

Hands down, the grovia aplix is the best. Next best for us is HH.

Fwiw, I had more issues when I sent aplix with LO. With snaps, I can tell whoever is watching him exactly what to do- I just make sure I send all of the same type of diaper (ie- all thirsties) and say for example, "right now, we're using the 2nd and 4th snap on both sides." With velcro, the people watching him always thought it was tight enough, and it never was, leading to leaks.

I second grovia AI2 and tots bots!  Tots bots in general just have such an easy fit to them.  If I had a sitter who was not familiar with CDing, I think I would send a lot of those.

Happy Heinys is just awful IMO

Kawaii P&N is my best.  TotsBots aplix is next best, but the fit is weird b/c of the way the "insert" tongue part goes into the diaper
