If you have a Britax convertable carseat...CP

Which one did you get? How did you end up picking that one? Does it have the G3 padding? Was it worth the purchase or would you have gotten a different model if you have to buy another one?

Just curious since there are five different models. How does one choose??

  • Which one did you get? Boulevard

How did you end up picking that one? I was choosing between that and the Marathon. I wouldn't shell out for the Advocate, and the Pavilion is just the Boulevard with the Click Safe feature. I didn't feel the CS was necessary or worth the extra cash.

On the Boulevard I really liked the side impact wings, and since my car is so low-slung I felt like we needed extra side-impact protection. (2011 Chevy Malibu) **We weren't as concerned with the side protection in hubs' truck, since it's huge (2011 Toyota Tundra CrewMax). Had my vehicle been as big (and safe) as his, we'd have picked the Marathon. I honestly don't know how much the Boulevard's wings will help, but it made me feel better.

Does it have the G3 padding? Yes. I like it. Sometimes the HUGS gets in the way when tightening the straps, but you just pull them down into place. It's a 3 second fix. NBD. The G3 also comes with the EZ Buckle system. LOVE IT. Never once have I had to dig the buckle out from under Aria. (which is great since she's a car seat screamer) I also love the velcro that holds the straps to the sides. (it doesn't work if the "pillow" is still in the seat though, FYI)

Was it worth the purchase or would you have gotten a different model if you have to buy another one? Totally worth it. It's easy to use, easy to install, and I feel like it's a very safe, sturdy seat. Now that I see how deep the actual shell is though, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Marathon instead.

Just curious since there are five different models. How does one choose?? I didn't want a pink seat. The Boulevard has a purple pattern that I loved. That was my deciding factor. Color me vain. Stick out tongue

How did you end up picking that one? I had chosen it for my older DD and really like it so I got a 2nd one for DS.  It's slightly less expensive than some of the others and managed to get it on sale both times (check albeebaby.com)  I think the Roundabout is cheaper, but may not last as long RF.

Does it have the G3 padding? No, not worth the extra money.

Was it worth the purchase or would you have gotten a different model if you have to buy another one? Yes I obviously like it since I bought it again.

  • I have the roundabout. I was going to get an evenflo symphony but it didn't fit in my car. I noticed in BRU that the roundabout was a bit smaller. I liked the seat material, a reliable name and I got it on sale for 100'dollars. It was easy to install. I didn't do a lot of research on different britax. It was a bit spur of the moment but I'm happy with it.
