166 heart rate at 12 weeks? normal?

i just got out of my 12 week appointment and the heart rate was 166.  The doctor said anything between 120- 170 is normal.  It kind of worried me that it was so close to 170.  my last appointment it was only 152 so it is going up not down.

Is this normal?

    At my ultrasound the heartbeat was measured at 173 and the baby measured constant with the dute date - 9 weeks 4 days.  I would say you're ok.  :)

    Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV).  First open heart surgery at 5 days old.  He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing.
    Third Son - due June 9, 2018

    Ours checked in at 156 bpm....  I think the Dr. would have mentioned if there was a cause for concern...

    Thanks ladies.  I just am so afraid of something going wrong.  All my labs and everything came back normal so maybe I should try to stop worrying :)

    I was told that the baby's hb varies just like ours. So maybe last time, your LO was resting, and this time, it was more active.

    Ours was at 156 -- the doctor told me anything between the range (110 to 170) is perfect.  I think you are fine :)

    Yesterday my LOs hb was 170. The tech did mention that it was showing off and moving around for us.

    That was the first time I heard the hb so I don't have anything to compare it to.

    Definitely normal. DD always had a hr of 160 or higher.

    Yep, totally normal.  My LO had a HB of 160 yesterday.  I looked back in my journal, and DS had a HB of 165 at his NT scan.

    Our little Jelly Beans HB was 180 at 9wks. And the tech said JellyBean was a wiggle worm. So don't get too worried my doc and the tech said their was no cause for concern just baby was very active.

    Yesterday at 12w4d the baby's hb was 165 and they thought that was great!

    I've only had one ultrasound and haven't had a doppler yet, but our little peanut was 167 @ 9 weeks. The ultrasound tech said 110-180 was normal.

    I personally would be more concerned if my baby's heart beat was on the lower end of normal, but that is just me. I was reassured that the heart was strong when I saw the number Smile

    Mine was 170 a couple days before 12 weeks. They said it was a good hb.
