So I posted an article on FB about grandparents and how they have a lot of out of date info when it come to caring for babies. I didn't do it to single out anyone, I simply found it interesting. Dear Lord, I woke up today to see certain relatives leave very rude comments. This is one "Seriously Jennifer, Most PARENTS do not follow these "Guidelines"...What an insult to grandparents!! What a shame you posted this!!!"
For real? I just can't believe someone would react like that. And you know what, I do follow most of these, especially the car seat and milk one.
Here is the article https://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/24/grandparents-need-to-be-better-informed-when-caring-for-kids/#comments
I don't know how to make things clicky.
Re: really?!
I know this has nothing to do with your posting, but in case you wanted to know how to make a link clicky.....
Once the URL http link is in the message space,
1. highlight the whole LINK URL.
2. The link thingy
on the Tool Bar should then be visible.
3. You should be able to then click on that
and a new box will pop up.
4. Paste the URl Link in the "Link URL box and then hit "Insert"
And voila your URL link will be clicky.
I mean that article isn't wrong, nor are you for posting it but it is kinda rude focusing on just grandparents when many other child care givers, including parents, make these same mistakes.
at target or any shopping center I see alllllll the time parents with a child's car seat set up on the top of the cart which is 100000 wrong wrong wrong and potentially deadly. the car seat should be in the basket area of the cart, where one puts purchases.
I've also seen parents with INFANTS forward facing. in an infant carrier! in fact, I wrote a little note and left it on the mothers car because OMG that baby would die in an accident. I was very polite and not judgey at all. just trying to inform the mother that infant seats are never, ever, ever meant to be forward facing, ever. I assume she is a loving and caring mother with limited knowledge on safety.
in any event I see both sides of the upsetness. because failure to recognize common safety knowledge is not specific to just grandparents or older relatives.

Thanks for sharing this article.
Since I will either have to go back to work full/part time and the grandmas will have her for a good portion of the day, this reminds me how I need to form my own opinion and make them stick to it.

I think they overreacted, but I think family always will.
I decided not to even reply. They'd probably think I was lying if I said I just posted it because I found it interesting. Oh well. Hopefully someone will read it and see something they didn't know and learn something.
