C section question

I am 10 weeks post partum. I had a c section and healed beautifully according to my doctor at my 6 week check up. I have been feeling great and started working out again. I did an intense workout yesterday and today my incision is swollen and it hurts. Has anyone else had this before and should I be concerned?

Re: C section question

  • Did you do ab work? I was told absolutely no ab workouts until 14 weeks pp.
Which is hard to do when your a dance and teach dance.

  • No I didn't do direct Ab work just a lot core work with stability. I think that was the problem.
  • If I just do mild housework I start to hurt where my incision is. You probably just did a little bit too much.

  • Definitely had the same experience. I wear the binder they gave me when I work out and it seems to help.
