Thoughts about photographer

My friend is due in December and has said she wants a professional photographer to come in and take pictures during the whole labor process and delivery. I looked at her like she was nuts for letting some random photgrapher take those kind of pics. What do you think about this? Its her first child so I can understand her wanting pics of it-but I dont see why she cant let someone she knows or her boyfriend take them?!

I'd rather pay a pro photgrapher for pictures later but thats just me.

Interesting concept. Never heard of doing that but I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing, just different. The idea is cool, but I personally don't think I'd be comfortable with that, but if someone else is go for it!

I would rather just have someone take some tasteful pictures with my camera, and save the professional pictures for after the baby is born.
