19 Weeks Pregnant

Abdominal Pressure

I am just short of 20 weeks and have been having "normal" abdominal pressure.  Today I have been feeling the pressure a little bit lower and what can only be described as when a tampon isnt in all way. I am waiting to hear back from my doctor but just wondering if anyone else has had any similar pain.

Re: Abdominal Pressure

  • I have been getting something similar today. I almost feel like something is stuck in my lower abdomen, just below the baby. When I touch the skin, it feels almost like there are ridges just below the surface - maybe it is muscles stretching? I plan to call (and hopefully see) the doctor tomorrow... Pantberry816, did you ever find out what it was?

  • At 19 weeks 1 day (this past Monday), I was on my feet a good bit of the day and noticed a twinge of pulling or cramping lower than normal, almost at the lowest point of my abdomen . I got off my feet though and it went away. Sometimes I wonder how much we can alleviate certain pains if we just learn to listen to our bodies and stop putting undue stress on ourselves. Of course, your symptoms could be for something totally different. I just replied because what I felt was lower than normal in the abdomen too and around the same time (19 weeks).

  • When I was very pregnant with my twins, one of them would stretch out, pushing his head into my cervix. It was very uncomfortable and I also described it feeling like a tampon that wasn't in all the way. Maybe baby is pushing on your cervix?
