Lo Hiccups?

Ok, so I think I just experienced my first set of noticable hicuups? It feels like repetitive "popping"? Or am I feeling something else?

Re: Lo Hiccups?

  • I'm interested to see the responses you get...over the weekend I had some weird movement where it felt like my stomach was vibrating!  The only way I could think of to describe it was it felt like someone had a can of soda and was shaking it up in my stomach.  The peri looked at me like I'd lost my damn mind when I told him that...

  • LO hiccups feel like a repetitive motion in the same spot. The frequency is about like when you'd get hiccups.

Side note: the spot you typically feel the motion is often where the head is...at least that was true of my son and most of the pgal ladies that time around.

Haha it's hard to truly explain what the feelings are. I have to try and use some kind of example. Maybe she was practicing her Rockette Dance?

It was definitely where his head is, and it was going for a little bit. My guess is it is. But I guess it's like kicking once it happens more you tend to figure it out more and more.

My son got them all.the.time in utero...and still does everytime he has a laughing fit.  If the motion you felt is where LOs head is, I'd bet money that's what it was.  For me, the first time I suspected it was hiccups, it was.  It literally was like the same.exact.motion every few seconds for minutes on end.  Such a cool feeling.  Thank you for reminding me of one of the fun parts of 3rd TriSmile

  • Yep! He gets hiccups a lot and they are a repetitive soft popping feeling in the same tiny spot. I can feel them on the outside sometimes too depending on how his face is turned. He gets really annoyed and tries to squirm away from them.
