Toddlers: 24 Months+

recs for a double stroller?

DD will be 3 when baby #2 will be born, i was thinking of getting a stroller where DD could stand and baby would be in stroller but DH thinks that DD will run off and stuff and it's better to keep her confine when out. He is probably right. I want a stroller that is lightweight and city friendly, we live in Chicago and in a condo, so i need something sleek and not bulky. i don't like the wide side by side ones.

TIA

  • City select.  Love it.  You can get a glider board for when she doesn't want to sit anymore.  DS1 still loves it and he is 4.5.  There is a ton of storage too.

  • I have a BabyTrend Sit and Stand right now. We aren't using it until DD is born. DS hasn't wanted a stroller for several months now, though. The Sit and Stand also comes in a version with a second seat, which may work better for you. I tried it out in BRU and it was pretty easy to collapse. I had a Baby Jogger City Select and I don't know how quick it would be for you to collapse it with both kids in tow. I sold mine because DS didn't ride anymore and the reviews of using it with a glider board were awful.

  • The sit and stand strollers have a bench seat with a 3 point harness. Joovy has second seat add on too, the joovy caboose too seat. The joovy ultralight is a good stroller, modern looking. I like it so far.
