Welcome to the check in group for Pregnant After Preemie! This group is
also for those who are actively trying to conceive, planning on it, or
just thinking about it...
So, list your first name, due date if you're pregnant or ttc timeline, preemie's name and gestational age at birth as well as the reason for their prematurity.

Last Week's Updates: Kaydra- DS#2 is home from the NICU and gained 3.5oz over the weekend. Sounds like you have a good eater on your hands. Please welcome Natdubs to our group, she is pregnant with baby#3 and is due 6/3/13. Congratulations! Mommy2cb had her first U/S last week and baby is measuring ahead, she is hoping to have another U/S on Halloween. Keep us posted. Kelly321 is seeing a HR OB this week and hopes to have plan for this pregnancy. Let us know how that appointment went. Cara03 has made it to the 3rd TRIMESTER! What a big milestone, keep up the good work. Americana had her baby boy full term back in August. How are you adjusting to three LO's at home? Delphiaraven is still pregnant and itching, hopefully your get some relief once little one is here.

I'm looking forward to Halloween. We have a "newborn" costume for ds2 that my 30lb 37in 3 year old ds1 fits in. I've altered it, but if it's still stupidly large, we're putting him in our Build a Bear hockey uniform.
Take some pictures, and then post a picture when you can.
Actually I think that will be our next exercise for next week. Posting pictures of our kids in costumes!
I don't post on here often, but I'm included in the pregnant list so I thought I'd update
We found out at our 20-wk ultrasound a couple months ago, that DS has a heart defect. It's a completely random thing (not tied to our genetic history, etc.). I'm going to deliver at the children's hospital (CHOP, in Philly) and he'll have open heart surgery either right after birth or a few months down the road. I was SO hoping to have the "normal" birth experience this time around, but at least we're at a good hospital where we'll get the care he needs. No signs of preterm labor though...hopefully this little guy will stay inside me as long as possible!
My update is that I saw the HR OB at the university clinic on Wednesday and finally got some answers to some of my questions. One disappointing thing was that if I get HELLP again, I will definitely be getting a RCS. I had hoped that if we caught the HELLP early enough, we would have time for an induction, but the OB said HELLP babies suffer from placental insufficiency anyway, and putting them through the stress of labor is an unnecessary risk, as it is for the mom, whose BP is usually high because of the HELLP. So it makes sense, and it's definitely good to know so I don't get my hopes up too high, but I'm still a little disappointed.
The good news is that so far everything's looking great. LO is very big for her gestational age (OB wanted to move my EDD up a week but I talked him out of it based on my betas and early u/s) so it looks like so far everything's going well with the placenta! No notching, BP is fine, right now everything is looking good.

I am Angie637 not sure if it show up since all I have is my phone. I am at the hospital for preterm labor. They are trying to keep them in there a little longer. I am 2-3 cm dialated was having contractions every 2-3 mins. They are slowing down so hopefully we will still have a little more time.
BFP here! Hoping to make it to 3rd tri this time! EDD July 6.
I am looking forward to taking DD trick or treating or the first time this year!
