I can't believe Hailey is 4 weeks old today! That is so crazy.
I know I've been bad at posting lately but we've had family visiting for almost 3 weeks straight, and since everyone is out of town, they were all staying in our house. I am very happy to have our house back to ourselves now! It's funny how everyone that comes to visit says they are there to help you, but really it just makes things infinitely more difficult...dishes, laundry, garbage..can't imagine if I actually gave birth and was healing since I took care of a majority of this.
Here's the best story..of how "helpful" everyone was. For some unknown reason, DH's dad decided he had to buy a new cell phone during his short visit to our house. He spent tons of time at Verizon with DH on Saturday which was disappointing since weekends are so valuable now with DD in the picture..then finally DH said it he'd have to go back another time because the wait was too ridiculous. So, DH's dad borrowed our car and went by himself Sunday, but first he dropped DH's mom off at Walmart. Well, DH's dad was taking forever at Verizon so DH's mom tried to call him, but he had gotten her a new phone so her phone was disconnected! She borrowed some random person at Walmart's cell phone to call me stranded from Walmart with tons of groceries..so DH had to take our second car and go looking for everyone...by the time we got DH's mom's VM, DH's dad had already picked her up so DH ended up finding her at Verizon eventually...such a mess...
Wow, hopefully you could all follow that...there's my small vent from 3 weeks of family! haha

Wow, how "helpful"!
So good to see an update from you. Hope you're able to settle in, now that you have things back to yourself.
That is one of my pet peeves, I hate when people aren't respectful when visiting newborns! I had people coming over with no notice, people "asking" when it was okay to come over then completely disregarding the answer and just showing up, and the worst, people that stayed for hours - seriously like 4-6 hours!
Anyway, you are totally entitled to vent after 3 weeks of family! How exciting though, you must be thrilled to have her home
