Flu Shot

I just got my flu shot and it's a much smaller needle than in the past.  It is no longer injected into the muscle (yay, no more arm pain) and the injection site will no resemble a mosquito bite.  Just an FYI.....happy vaccinations to you all.

Re: Flu Shot

  • Mine was still in the muscle, but it wasn't bad.  It was sore that night but then was fine

  • Got mine last week at work. The needle didn't hurt, but my arm still got sore for a day. Oh well -- still totally worth it! Making MH get it tomorrow.

I feel like a total dummy... but what's the scoop with babies? I forget if G already got his or if he'll get it at his 1 year check up with week.

P has his check up on Friday and I think he's on schedule to recieve the vaccination then. I should probably look at the vaccination schedule. Thanks for reminding me!

  • Thanks for the reminder, I need to do this, I keep on forgetting.  C got his first flu shot at his 1 year appt.  We have to go back after 30 days to get the second.

  • I got mine at work last week. It was in my arm, as usual.

  • I got mine at a Touch a Truck event and I think they were volunteers. I have a HUGE bruise and she hit a nerve or something because even 3 days later it really hurts like I just worked out type soreness. Boo!

This was mine as well. Needles don't bother me at all but my poor arm was sore the next day.

Also, A goes in next week for his year check up and I called and asked and they will do the shot then. Then a booster a month later.

  • Mine still hurt like a beyotch afterwards. But I feel like it didn't hurt as bad as last year, so maybe the needle is smaller. I think it also helped that they took it out of the fridge about 20mins before poking me with it. It hurt so bad last year, I am such a wuss when it comes to needles.
