Unhappy 5 Week Old

For the last 3 days my LO has only been eating 1-2oz at a feeding and then will start screaming. When she starts screaming she is hard to soothe. She's no longer happy and smiling. If she's awake, she's usually crying/screaming. She also sounds congested at times and hoarse? No fever. Going to the doctor in a couple hours, but wanted everyone's thoughts/suggestions.

Sounds like colic and reflux.  We went through the same thing.  We used Zantac until 5mo for the reflux, but unfortunately you just have to wait for them to outgrow the colic.

Definitely sounds like reflux - we went through the same thing. DD is on Zantac now and it's been a huge help. Glad you're going to the pedi - hopefully your LO (and you!) will get some relief soon.

It sounds like reflux, but if you can, bring a stool sample with you (I always brought a "fresh" diaper rolled up a bit in a plastic bag).  That way they can check for traces of blood to rule out milk/soy protein intolerance.  DS1 had that and had similar symptoms to your LO.

L started doing the same thing at 3 weeks. She ended up with a milk/soy protein intolerance and silent reflux. We treated the reflux with zantac and still have her on it. She also had colic which last about 8ish weeks. I would call the pedi.
