LO is 9 weeks today. Started daycare 2 weeks ago. Cough & stuffy nose started on day 2 of daycare. He slept a lot that weekend, but otherwise fine. Cough has subsided but stuffy nose sticking around. Now, for last day and a half, he keeps spiking a fever. Highest so far has been 101.7 rectal. We spent about 4 hours in the ER yesterday. Bloodwork, blood sugar, & urinalysis normal. Chest xray clear. Flu & RSV negative. Received IV fluids & tylenol, temp wenr down under 100. His temp keeps spiking since bringing home last night. Highest now was 101.7. Gave tylenol at 1am & 7am. He's otherwise good, smiling even. Just sleeping more. I slept with him on the chaise last night. He has a recheck with primary physician today.
Anyone else dealing with a sick baby? His fever scared me. Is there anything more heartbreaking than when your LO is sick?

Re: Sick babies
Awe, I hope your LO gets better soon. Poor baby!
My DS caught croup at 8 weeks which resulted in 2 emergency room visits with steriods and breathing treatments. He is 10 weeks today and has yet to get his 2mo shots because of a random spikey fever. They think it is a virus thats lingering. Very frustrating when they cant tell you whats going on with your baby.
Seeing a sick baby just breaks my heart ):
