whenever dd sleeps in, then she doesn't want to nap - is a nightmare in the afternoon and sleeps poorly the next night
man I miss sleeping in past 7
and worst of all, I woke up cold this morning at 5, so went to put a blanket back on her as she always kicks it off, and she was stirring and woke up
just wanted to whinge cause I'M TIRED!!!
oh well, she sleeps great most of the time now, I just need to dress her warmer tonight & not distrub her!!!
Re: gosh I love sleeping in - but hate being 'punished' for it :(
keep the hope! my dd didn't regularly sttn until she was 18 months old and almost always does now *knock on wood*
If DD sleeps until 7 or later I'm screwed on the nap! During the week this isn't a problem because we need to be up early anyway but on weekends I will not let her sleep past 7 (not that this happens much anyway)and wake her up if need be (I do this for naps too, I will wake her up after 1.5 hours otherwise she won't go to sleep at night).
i still have DD in a sleep sack since she wouldn't keep a blanket on at night. She is starting to get more interested in blankets and she gets one for nap but not night time.
we are EXACTLY the same sucredee, if she sleeps past 7 we're screwed for naps - I just can't bring myself to set the alarm for 7 on a weekend but bleh I really should after a couple terrible weekend days
I wake her after 2 hours for her nap, and never past 3pm - isn't it amazing how even like 15 minutes more throws everything off!!
I only just put the sleep sack away like 2 weeks ago, cause she was just getting too long for it & it was starting to leave little marks on her neck, she doesn't keep the blanket on for long, so I just have to dress her really warm at night and OMG after last night there's no WAY I'm going in there at 5am again to put it back on!!! I usually pop in at like 10/11 when I go to bed, to put the blanket back on, if she isn't stirring, but the 5am was such a mistake
oh well - live & learn!
In Europe they make sleep sacks for children up to about age 4. We still use them for DD - maybe you can look online and see if you can order some bigger ones? DD is in size 90 (cm - I don't know how they measure kids clothing in Australia) sleep sacks, but I already have a couple 110cm ready to go. It'll be a while before she's ready for them, but they were on sale at Aldi. :-)

I just got my 110 cm sleep sacks at prenatal in the Netherlands. They will likely fit her in a year still and are really nice.
we have a grobag that's meant to be for up to 3 years old, and her feet don't touch the end - but I think she just moves around too much and it pulls on her neck now
anyhow, we're lucky enough that summer is on the way so it'll only get warmer as she gets used to using a blanket I guess!
