Are you a big Rod Stewart fan? I was reading an article about him, and his two youngest children's names are Alastair and Aiden. Is this a coincidence?
Bahahaha, yes, that is most certainly a coincidence!!! I am not a Rod Stewart fan at all. Alastair is his paternal grandpa's middle name (after HIS Father's navigator during WWII) and the Scottish form of Alexander (my big brother). Aidan is just a name I really liked and since we all have the same initials....it fit.
Funny though. I never even thought about Tod Stewart in the last ten years or so. FWIW, I am more of a metal chick. Now, if Alice Cooper's kids were named that.....but he has all girls. Very observant!
That is too funny! I really like your boys' names, so when I was reading that article in the Sunday paper, it totally stuck out. Love that you're a metal chick! Are you into the Scorpions? ;-)

Funny you mention them. Love the early Scorpions from the before 'Wind of Change' time. Coincidently, they are from really close to my hometown. My math teacher used to play soccer with Schenker and Meine - and we got to play with them in grade 9 or so. Big deal back then!

Um, AWESOME!! That's pretty damn cool! I like "The Winds of Change"
No, you are right, but still very cool. All that went down when I was in 6th grade. What was it like over there, or do you remember it?
Well, I was 9 at that point and I do remember it. I was born in the East - so BEHIND the wall, and remember going with my mother to the 'demos'. I remember seeing the tanks parked in the side alleys And today I know that those soldiers were waiting for the command to shoot.
It was a really impressive and scary and exciting time.

PENNY! Where did you find that picture! It's so revolting, but I can't look away from the low-slung package.. and the matching tank-top! I just want to pull his little striped panties down..okay, now I think that I barfed in my mouth a bit :-)
Dang, Nita, what a haunting story. That gives me chills that they were waiting for the command to shoot. My Mom and her Mother are from Frankfurt. They left in 1953, when my Mom was 5. I always thought that it would be cool to go back with them and see where they came from. However, my Oma has no desire to go back, and I'm not very close with my Mother.
