Many of us have been a bit downtrodden lately (including myself). And, at times such as these, I believe it is extra important that we take time outs for ourselves. So...
1) What did you do for yourself this past week?
2) Last week's challenge was to make one positive change to your diet. What did you do? Were you able to stick to it? Will you continue with the change?
3) This week's challenge: Start a Journal. Write down your vents, recount your days, list all the things you are grateful for, or divulge your greatest fears and secrets. Fill the journal with drawings or quotes... make the journal whatever it needs to be to fit your needs.
Re: Self Care Check-In
1) After my breakdown tuesday (which all of you kind enough to read - thank you for responding), I went out and bought the last two books of the hunger games series. I've been reading them non-stop and just finished the series about an hour ago.
2) I tried to drink more water and less pop. I was doing pretty well until yesterday. I've just been so tired lately. I'm going to try and slowly wean my self from my soda addiction.
1) Date night! Ok, so technically it was for both of us but yeah, even though our day was hectic and frustrating, we went out for dinner on Saturday - a belated anniversary dinner for us. It wasn't a super fancy place but the food was great and we had a nice relaxing time.
2) Ooh fail on the diet part. BUT, I bought lots of yummy (and good for you) stuff at the store yesterday so tonight we're having carrot soup. Yay!
3) I keep an electronic one. They're very helpful.
1, On Saturday, we went to a weinie roast out at my aunt's, and it was so nice to not have to chase after ds. I was even able to sit by the fire pit and enjoy a cocktail while ds was in the house playing with dh and some other kids. It was wonderful.
2, We went to Cracker Barrel, last week, and I got grilled chicken tenders instead of my usual country fried steak with gravy.
3, I used to have a blog which was so private that I considered it my diary. I haven't written in it in months, but I may start it up again. I enjoyed it and it was nice to vent without anyone reading it.
