Adoption

No news

Haven't heard anything since Friday night. We assume the extended family members have chosen to parent the baby and we are moving on. We still are thankful for the opportunity to talk with a family regarding their adoption options. That, alone, is a blessing. What a crazy weekend. Thankfully I had a big race out of town yesterday so I didn't have a lot of time to sit and mull over much disappointment, but the reality of how bizarre everything was earlier this weekend is starting to sink in.

I am thankful for the support and good thoughts, prayers shown to us here. This is really one of my only places to go where others will truly understand.

We're going to go full-steam ahead with finishing up our home study in 2 weeks and we can't wait to go through this process the RIGHT way.

Thanks again, everyone! We truly appreciate it.

  • I was really hoping this was it for you, but I am at least glad that you are handling the disappointment so well.  What a crazy, crazy weekend! Hope your home study is finished fast and you have your baby in your arms before you know it!

  • I was thinking about you guys, I'm sorry this particular situation didn't end up working out.  I think you handled it really well and it was good practice for the future as far as communicating with expectant parents and their families.  You did great, continued thoughts and prayers for you both, I hope you get matched very soon.
