Hi ladies! First time posting to this board! (Coming from Dec. 2011 moms) I am trying to get my LO to take a sippy cup. (She just turned 10 months.) Depending on her mood she will sometimes take the sippy--but more often than not, she won't! Do you still offer bottles to your LOs or exclusively use sippy cups? Not sure if I should just stop the bottles cold turkey at this point??

We just gave her a sippy cup with water in the beginning just so she got used to what to do with it. And it took awhile for DD to drink out of it instead of just play with the sippy cup. (Apparently it is hillarious to just turn a sippy cup upside down all the time.) Over the weekend, we transitioned completely to the sippy cup...no bottles. DD will be one on Halloween.

We use a Lollacup straw sippy cup and she transitioned with little to no problems. I still offer a bottle in the morning and at night, but everything thing else is in the sippy. It's a bit pricey for a sippy cup, but we bought replacement straws and the cleaning kit so we won't need to buy any others, so IMO it's worth the cost. Plus, it has a weighted straw so when LO tilts the cup up, they can still drink because the straw follows the liquid.
