C-sections

7 mo PP and still having pain

I'm 7 months Post Csection and my stomach has mostly gone back to normal except for a roll of skin above my incision. This roll is very sensitive and somewhat painful if it is kicked or stepped on by my daughter, if I lean up against the counter, ect.

Is this normal this far out or should I schedule an appt to have it checked out?

  • mine was pretty sensitive for quite a while. i don't remember how long it was but i remember it being a long time.

i'd just double check with your Dr or OB who did the surgery just to be sure there wasn't something wrong

  • With DD I was sensitive for really a year. By 18 mos I had regular feeling, no pain and the incision started to lighten. So I think this is totally normal but worth calling your OB just to double check

  • *shrug* I'm four years out from my c-section and I still feel fairly sensitive when hit in that area. I think it's normal. Nerve damage, maybe?

  • Thanks everyone! It gets quite annoying. I wonder if it's nerve damage. Think I'll call just to check.
