pitching advice needed

I've got a meeting with my boss' boss to pitch having me report to her tomorrow morning. My supervisor has become more and more hostile to me since I returned from maternity leave, and I am finished dealing with it. I love the work I do, but cannot keep working for him.

Does anyone have any advice for how to pitch this idea to her? Thanks!

This is what I would say:

 "I really admire your work ethic and the way you handle things.  It would be an honor if you could be my mentor.  I really love the work that I do and even though my direct supervisor now is good at his/her job-- I'm looking for a career and I'm really hoping you can take me under your wing to be the best I could be.  May I report to you, please?  It would really be an honor to learn from you."

 Don't ever talk bad about your supervisor, it will only get back to him/her and it could be worse for you. just food for thought.

Will there be additional things you could do or were exposed to if you reported to her?  If so, I'd add that - "I'd really like the opportunity to work more with X teams/functionality/groups and to be able to learn more about the business.  I think I can best do that if I report to you."

I agree with this. It may be hard to sell this sort of idea short of getting a promotion or new role.
