Happy Sunday Ladies!
DH and I have a semi-formal (eh, more relaxed, really) interview one-on-one with the Intake coordinator of an agency tomorrow. We've been to a general meeting with other potential couples already and have received basic info regarding fees, timeline, history of agency, etc.
I'm looking for suggestions of more specific or unique questions to ask at this meeting. I have very few myself, so thought you ol' pros could toss me some ideas.
TIA!
Re: Interview tomorrow: need some help
Are you doing domestic infant adoption?
Ask about support for birth moms, if they haven't talked to you about that already.
I was surprised how much the personality of our caseworker played into the home study process. I'd ask how long the caseworkers have been working there and what experience they have etc. After meeting our caseworker DH and I decided to also book an appointment with an attachment specialist b/c our caseworker just did not seem that knowledgeable.
I would also want to know if the impending holidays (thanksgiving and Christmas) will add time onto your home study process b/c your caseworker will likely be taking vacation.
Good luck!
