Dirty Diapers

My LO is a month old and I noticed that her poopy diapers are now 2-3 less than when we brought her home. Is this normal?

    We are only averaging 1 a day now at just shy of 5 weeks.

    Totally normal for them to slow down around that age. My LO went from around 8 poops a day to just 1 now.

    What about the pee diapers? Are those decreasing too? What is the reason for this?

    I think that's normal. We get 12 a day. Our doctor said babies can go a day or two without pooping and it's ok.

    Yes, they will slowly decrease the amount of poopy diapers. You will also notice the color, texture, odor (all that stuff) change over time. It's all normal.

    Is your LO BF or FF? FF babies tend to poop less frequently because BM metabolizes faster.

    Dr is looking for 4-6 wet diapers per day and pooping can be up to every 3rd day (I know, sounds crazy, I was told to give her 2 ounces of juice on the FOURTH day if she got to that). eek
