Re: Ladies that got pregnant right after a mc

  • I got pregnant right after having a d&c. I went for my first OB appointment at 12 weeks with a new doctor and he couldn't find the HB so he did an u/s and found that the baby had died around 8 weeks.  I had no idea.  It was really devastating.  2 days later I had a d&c and then met with the same doctor 4 weeks later for a follow up and to get a Rx for the pill.  I wanted to wait 6 months before trying again.  I started the pill the following Sunday and then didn't start my period when the pack was done.  I took a pg test and it was positive!  I was scared b/c it was my 3rd pg and I had never had a successful one.  I switched OB's and by the time I got to see the new one, I was 9 weeks.  I didn't know how far along I was exactly so he did an u/s and there was a little baby!  That was the farthest I had ever been but I was still terrified until about 30 weeks or so. lol  That was our sticky baby.  I don't know if I just needed the d&c to make a more "hospitable" place for a baby or what I'm so glad it happened.  Good luck :)  I hope you have a H&H 9 months here!!

  • I got my first BFP in March of this year and had an early m/c at about 5 weeks or so.  The doctor said that we could immediately start trying again.  I got pregnant again the very next month.  I was so nervous and scared.  My doctor sent me in for early betas to put my mind at ease, and they were perfect, doubling like they were supposed to.  He also got me in for an early US at 6 weeks, and there it was, a beautiful little blob with an amazing heartbeat.

Here I am now, 29 weeks!!!

Good luck to you, wishing you a H&H 9 months

  • I found out I was pregnant in March.  A week later I miscarried.  The cycle that started after the m/c (in April) was the one that led to this pregnancy.  After a year of trying I was shocked to get pregnant so quickly after the miscarriage.
  • We got pregnant on the first regular cycle after the miscarriage, so IDK if that qualifies. Like I got my period once and then we never got it again.

Anyway, it took us 7 months the first time and then one cycle the second time, so clearly we were shocked. We're now almost 34 weeks with our twin boys and so far so good. Emotionally, those first few months were really rough, but I'm not sure that they'd really have been any easier had we waited longer. The doctor did tell us that we had a slightly more elevated chance of miscarriage since we conceived so soon after the loss, but as I said we've been really lucky so far and we're tremendously thankful for our little miracles.

  • I had a natural m/c at 6w in late May.  My doc cleared us to try again, without having to wait a cycle.  And here I am, KU and almost 1/2 way there!  H&H 9 months to you!

  • I had a DC on March 9th, I was 7 weeks along baby stopped growing. We had an RPL done and 2 weeks later we saw my Dr. She gave us the go ahead to TTC right away. I just had to start baby aspirin and additional Folic Acid. On April 5th we got a BFP And I started progesterone that day. We started betas, at 4 weeks and checked my progesterone. My number looked good but of course I had started taking progesterone on April 5th. We will be 32 weeks on Monday and Jackson is measuring ahead and doing great. In our case with extra medicine and prayers third time has been a charm.
Wishing you all the best! :

  • I lost our first on March 1st. A few weeks later a friend of mine brought me some cheapie dollar store tests because she didn't need them (she had just found out she was pregnant).
I saw them in my bathroom at the end of April, and my period still hadn't arrived so I thought I'd have fun and pee on a few. I was NOT expecting to be pregnant, we weren't even trying at that point.

I saw a faint line (like massively faint) and my husband couldn't really see it until a few minutes passed. I peed on about 7 more and they were all the same. Faint line.
I was convinced it was a fluke, there was no way I was pregnant and it was just a cruel joke.
But here I am almost 29 weeks pregnant.
    :) Hope this helps

  • I had a CP and got pregnant again immediately afterwards (no AF in between) and had my son 9 months later!
