Did you guys know Luxembourg is a country?

I thought it was just a made up place but today I met someone who knew someone who knew someone who lived there once when they were a kid.  I had no idea!

  • OMG, I'm loling right now (sorry).  Yeah, I knew it was a country.  Funny you thought it was made up or something!

One of our ladies on here lives in Luxembourg.

  • It's not a country you guys, it's a city in Belgium full of arrogant, wealthy douchecanoes that wants to separate, like Quebec.

Seriously, have you guys EVER looked at a map?

Obsession, you probably don't even own a passport, do you.

God. The ignorance of some people.

  • I think it is so sad that people have to make up countries just so they can join the International Bumpies board.

What is the world coming to?

  • What it is in Canada? I thought it was in Europe. Well if it in Canada I don't need a passport I can just drive there.
  • Do you need a passport to get into Canada from the states if you drive?

I don't think you need it to get into Canada, but you do need it to get back into the US. Or at least that's how it was when I was living in WNY.

I just double checked because I was curious. The US State Department's website says Canadian law is the same as it was four years ago when the US rules changed. They require proof of identity and citizenship, so if you don't have a passport you need a driving license and birth certificate. I realize that the US State Dept. is not the ultimate authority on this since its not their law, but they generally are pretty up to date. I also wonder how many Canadian border agents would accept that as ID knowing that you can't get bak into the US without a passport.

Canadian citizens don't need a passport to enter the US by land either. Birth certificate and driver's license is enough. We did it last week. Well, DH did. I need a passport and the silly visa waiver thingie.

Interesting.  When last I lived there (on the border) they were talking about the new rules going into effect.  I guess they still haven't.

I've actually had people seriously question Andorra. I described its location. They called BS. I had to get out a map!

I went to that chi chis at least once a month and never got sick.  it was probably your fault.

OK so that is an exaggeration.  Not once a month but at least 6 times :)

Canadians need a passport or other suitable ID (driver's license is not enough unless it's enhanced, not everyone has one of those) to enter the US by land.
