DH and i both work and i'll be returning back to work in a couple weeks. how do y'all get enough sleep for work? i work as a retail manager, so my hours are pretty much everywhere. so far, DH and i NEVER get any sleep
I'm thinking I just won't be getting a lot of sleep! Although DD has been sleeping pretty good but she is still in our room. I also work as a retail manager!

Bedsharing (with a safe setup) + side-laying nursing.
During night-wakings, I just latch baby on and go right back to sleep. At some point, baby unlatches and also goes right back to sleep. Of course, during illness, teething, or developmental milestones it isn't that straightforward, but many nights it is.
I will be going back to work soon as well. Not excited about it but I remind myself that nothing last forever. As I was told: the days are long but the years are short! Meaning...it may feel like its taking forever but looking back on it you will realize how fast it went by. So enjoy it because it doesn't last forever and one day you'll look back and miss those nights with your itty bitty baby. Good luck!
I will be going back soon as well.I am in Canada though so it might be a little different as my DD is 1 year (we pay into an Employee Insurance program in which we can take time off for maternity/parental leave, sickness, laid off etc)
I've been worried about my return too as DD still doesn't sleep very well at all. I also worry about her child care as her naps are all over the place.
Best of luck with your return. I can't imagine returning so early!
You learn to function on less sleep. I went back to work when LO was 6 weeks old. It was rough. I remember being so tired all the time. I just took it one day at a time and gradually I have become used to sleeping 5-6 hours a night. You will survive and your body will adjust!
I start work next week and I will be working 4am-1pm shifts On top of that, I have a 2 year old and I ebf my little man. So yeah, sleep is pretty much non existent for me.
