Not sure what's going on...

I have two questions, I know the two aren't related, just thought I'd ask about both in one post lol. So I am 4 months post partum, and this past week I suddenly am just now having rib pain and it almost feels like my ribs are loose when I lay down, like they are shifting so to speak. And I am so sore, I feel like I got run over. Also this past week I have been absolutely ravenous. I'm hungry ALL the time. I am breastfeeding, but never had the starving constantly feeling the past 4 months. Anyone else feel hungry constantly? What about rib pain, anyone else?

Re: Not sure what's going on...

  • Not sure about the ribs, but I am also 4 months PP and starving (like, dizzy light headed starving).  I've read that BF weightloss really goes into overdrive at 3-6 months, so maybe we're just burning tons of calories now!  Of course, I eat so much more due to my huge appetite that I haven't lost weight so I'm not really seeing the benefits of that!

  • I have felt some rib pain/weirdness too! Sometimes when I bed or move my ribs feel like they're shifting or something. Strange.

  • Maybe try eating more protein?  And yes my appetite is up as well :)

  • I went to the dr because of lightheadedness, dizziness, fatigue.  I thought I wasn't getting enough iron but it was because of blood sugar issues.  The doc suggested drinking something sugary while BFing and exercising and that helps.  My friend suggested upping protein and I'm going to try that since I still want to lose baby weight and drinking juice constantly isn't going to help with that!

  • thanks ladies, upping my protein seemed to help with the constant hunger! Thank goodness for that!
