1st Trimester

it does get better right?

I am 11 wks and 3 days and I've been feeling a little better but I still have good days and bad days. Sometimes I'ts all I can do to peel myself out of bed and go to work. Everyone says the 2nd trimester is when the feeling like crap goes away, but it hasn't happened yet. Yesterday I actually feel good and almost normal but today I ache and food sounds gross.  Please tell me I'm close!

Re: it does get better right?

  • It does but it took me till about 16 weeks with DS to feel that way. Then I felt great till about 34 wks. But of course....it's different for everyone.

The two biggest things that helped me were eating well and exercise especially prenatal yoga.

  • I was exhausted in the first trimester... in the second tri I felt great, and still feel great, most days... Other days I feel like I've hit a wall it comes and goes. I found that my body kind of transitioned into 2nd tri stuff around 13 weeks, ie: I stopped bleeding at that point b/c in the 2nd tri your cervix hardens up and it wasn't so sensitive.

  • Everyone is different, I was sick wiht my first 2 pregnancies for 20 solid weeks with all day and night sickness.  Needless to say I only gained 15 pounds....ahh!  What I always told myself to get through those rough days was that it meant the baby was taking all from me and meant the child was growing.  I took it as a good sign.  I am now pregnant with 3rd and have yet to feel sick and nervous...was so sick by now with the other 2.  Here is to praying the sickness lightens up for you.  I lived on saltine crackers and ginger ale.

  • With DD the m/s went away finally around 16w, I just woke up one day and felt great! It was good until about 34w when I just felt huge!

This time I've been extremely exhausted, but the m/s has been nothing compared to tmh previous pregnancy. It's true that every pregnancy is different!

I just took a class through a local yoga studio if you live in a larger metro are you should have no problem finding a studio that offers them. A lot of hospitals offer them as well and they're either free or much cheaper. There are DVDs you could get too I'm sure.
  • Last pregnancy I started feeling amazing around 13 weeks. Everyone is different but you can probably expect to feel better, especially if you are already noticing a decrease in symptoms.
