Sorry to bring up snuzas again but we just got ours and was wondering if the go can be used in the swing or the carseat. I read about that the halo would pick up other movements so I wondered about the go. Otherwise I don't see how this one is portable and the halo isn't.
Thanks
Re: question for those with snuza go
I have the Hero/Halo but from how I understand it is that you can program when the Go alerts you (15, 20, etc seconds) whereas you can't program the Halo. I think the Go allows you to program it because it takes into account that there will be more/less predictable movement from being in a swing/carseat, etc. Since the Halo is meant to be used only when sleeping, LOs movements are more predictable, since they are laying flat.
You can program the go to alarm at 15, 18 or 20 seconds, whereas the Halo (aka Hero) will vibrate at 15 seconds and alarm at 20 if no movement is detected after the vibration. I have used both and they are both great. The go is a really popular choice. I know the manufacturer says not to use it in a swing or car etc, but I've been using mine for six months now and it really doesn't pick up the motion of the vehicle. It would have to be vigorous shaking that would be dangerous for the baby anyway for it to confuse the monitor. But, the good news is, there is a way to double check if you are concerned. You can watch the movement light indicator in the middle of the monitor to see when it is blinking (or set the audible tick function to tick when it detects movement). If it flashes (and/or ticks) with every movement of the swing, then it's not reliable in the swing, but if it only flashes when baby is breathing, then you're ok. That's how I have been able to tell for my own baby.
Just as an FYI, you can also post this type of question on their facebook page. They do giveaways and have tips of the week, etc so it's pretty helpful. www.facebook.com/SnuzaUSA
