All of the people on this board and the breast feeding board who ep not to mention a friend irl have me thinking.. . I give those women credit because I hate pumping. With my middle son I worked so I had to pump at work but this time a sahm and only pump like twice a month to have a small freezer stash and I am so much happier this time. I hate everything about the pump, the way it feels, the way it sounds, washing the parts, worrying about rotating the freezer stash, everything.
Anyone else dislike pumping ??
Re: Anyone else hate pumping??
Plus my routine would be worse because I have a lipase issue so I'd have to do all the normal pumping stuff, plus scald it if I need to store it for longer than a few hours. Another reason to dread her starting daycare. -_-
I hate pumping so much. I seriously applaud those that EP because I don't know if I could do it. I also applaud those that pump at work. I hate being attached to the pump and having to travel with it if I'm going to be gone for awhile. I'm lucky that I work across the street from my house so I pump in the morning, after work and while on lunch.
I started pumping once on the weekends again so that I can build more of a stash. I'm hoping I can either wean from the pump a little early or just pump for less time a day and not worry about having enough.

HATE IT. hate it. hate it. hate it.
Did I mention I hate it? I EPed with my son for 6 months (he was a NICU baby and couldn't nurse so I thought it was really important to give him bm). This time I'm just pumping at work (as I type this matter of fact) but I still dread it. I also hate all the cleaning and lugging it back and forth every day. If this baby wasn't MSPI I might already be just doing morning/night nursing and formula during the day. At least I'm almost halfway and 6 more months isn't that long in the grand scheme.
That being said, if I EP, I would hate it. I HAAAAAAATE washing bottles pump parts. HATE.IT. I love breastfeeding the extra snuggles with my son!
I hated pumping with my first. I felt trapped to nursing and pumping and felt like a weight lifted off my shoulder when I stopped pumping when DS turned 1.
This time I still hate it but not as much. Pumping this time around is a little tougher b/c I'm at a new job that is male dominated and it is hard to get away 3 times a day to pump. But I actually look forward to pumping so I can take a break from my stressful day. So I still dislike it but for different reasons. I also feel like it is more important this time b/c my LO is MSPI (not soy though).

Yes! I pump while I'm at work and feel quite akward doing it at work. I use a small conference room, we don't have a Mother's Room, and get nervous about people walking in or hearing the pump. It's strange to think about my boobs being out at work (Since I work in an office not Hooters LOL). I also hate washing the parts, like last night I forgot and then had to do it this morning ontop of getting ready and heading out to work. I want to transition to formula during the day and do a morning and night BF, but DD won't take a bottle from hubby or me, only from the sitter.
We might work slowly towards the FF during the day...so until then I'll stick with pumping.
