how long after...

You lost your mucous plug did you go into labor? I've heard a lot of singleton moms say anywhere from right then to three weeks later. I was just wondering if it was generally different for MoMs.

  • I went into labor with my boy a couple hours after I lost my plug, but i've been loosing part of mine with the twins since last week just a bit here and there and nothing yet. Hopefully it wont be much longer thou. Its hard to be prepare because you just never know. Good luck!

    Me too. It all happened at the same time. TG I was on the toilet!

  • With my daughter I lost it 11 days before I delivered, and currently started losing this one since last Friday. Im already at 5cm, but no sigs of labor yet, just minor contractions here and there.

  • FTR, I never lost mine until I was induced.  But I have heard that the mucous plug can actually grow back - losing it is not necessarily an indication of impending labor.

    I have heard that too... I was just wondering. I'm definitely not trying to rush things!
