1st time sick.

I was at my mothers visiting sat b4 last. They had ben sick the week b4. My mom dad and brother. It was only 4 2 days and it went away. And that sat. I said something so stupid. I said my 11 month old hadnt been sick yet and dhe wasnt going to b. Shes a perfect baby i said . The next Monday night i woke at 3 in the morn with my girl sleeping on my chest and relized she was warmer than the use. So i changed her and took he temp. It was 100.9 gave her advil and went back to sleep the next day she was fine. But when I got home that night my girlfriend said she felt warm. So i took the temp and it was 102.7. I gave her more advil and it brought it down and we took her to her docs the next day and they said it was virus and to keep checking the temp giving meds and to get her to th ER if it got up to 104.0 well later that night her temp went up to 103.7 We called the doc I called my aunt whos a nurse and all said to give a cool bath and keep checking it and make sure to rush her to the er if it got higher or she had seizure. I lost it i was balling my eyes out sniffiling snot running out of my nose making noises id never made im my 32 years. With my girl still on the changing table and had to leav the room because i was upsetting my baby i went to the kitchen to collect myself and clean up. And then went 4 a smoke and to call my mom to c if she could come over. Once on the phone with her. I lost it again!! And begged her to come over. I felt so helpless and out of controle I could not stope myself from just balling my eyes out from worry. My question is Is this always going to happen when my little one gets sick or will it get a little easier? I know being like will not help the problem at all. But like i said i could not help it.This has never happend to me in my life. I have always had my emotions under controle and pride myself on staying cool when everyone is loosing it. Whit can i do to make sure this wont happen again because i no it is no good for anything and i need to keep mysel togetehr for her? Any addvice is welcome like i said this has never happend to me and dont know what to if it starts up again. I really hope it wont.

From what I could understand of your post, you got really upset and worked up because your child was sick?  Yes, it sucks, and it is sad, but you are a parent, and need to make the decision necessary to keep your LO healthy. I didn't see that you ended up actually taking LO to the doctor?  I hope you did.

I really hope this is MUD.... you left your sick daughter ON the changing table alone, while you cried, cleaned up, smoked out side while on the phone. WTF! Pull it together... you put your child in serious danger. If you NEED a break because of a mental meltdown, leave the child somewhere safe or take to a friend or neighbors. I would be calling CPS if that happens again.
