I am headed to the RE at 9:15 for a baseline u/s as yesterday's spotting turned into CD1 today. Then we are meeting with the RE to talk about what we should do.
So I feel like we are one scary big step away from IVF. I have no clue how tomorrow is going to go: What my DH is going to say about the enormous cost and if he will even be willing to try. How much it will really cost? If we can even start this cycle? Ugh. How am I going to sleep tonight?
Dumb comment from my MIL:
Me-we need you to watch DS so we can go to the RE.
Her: ok, how are things going?
Me-The next step is IVF and I am not sure how we will afford it (this is the short version)
Her: maybe you need to take a break b/c it isn't God's timing.
Me: then he needs to take this burden off my heart.
Dumb comment from MY MOM: get ready.
Me: I got AF and I think our next step is IVF
Her: how much does that cost
Me: 15k....then the conversation lead to adoption and I said I didn't want to adopt out of birth order really would prefer a 1year old or younger
Her: My neighbor has a 1 year golden lab they are trying give away. He is really good with kids and is an out door dog.
Me. (long pause) Mom, why are you telling me this?
Her: um. Oh I guess I am just telling everyone since it is a good dog.
Me: the last thing we need on top of IF expenses is a dog and vet bills.
Her. yeah, true.
Me: i got to go change a diaper, talk to you later.
UGHHHHH!!

This totally! I'm feeling particularly feisty to any pregant friend who gripes about pregnancy related things. I am this.close to asking them if they want to trade places.
When I first told my mom that were were having trouble, she was like "are you checking your discharge?" EW at that word... but yeah, mom, since I've charted for freaking 4 years, I actually understand how my body works.

OMG...I can totally relate. My mom just plain pisses me off half the time. She has always been very negative in life, but she has telling me that maybe it isn't going to work out and I just wasn't meant to have another baby...WTF?!? What mom says this to their daughter? She says this stuff, but she is very interested in where I am in my cycle all the time. She was out of town this cycle when I had the IUI, so when she came back in town and asked if I had done any treatments lately I lied and said no. Ha!
She also feels the need to call me every freaking time she hears someone is pregnant. Which happens at LEAST once I week. I don't give a crap that your friend's cousin's sister is pregnant. Ugh, geez...
