Having a PgAL brain day...

in Pregnant after a Loss

I haven't seen my doc since the first week of the month and am trying to keep my head up and not stress out, but Im having one of those days.  I called earlier and got an appt on the floating schedule so I could see a nurse and hear the heartbeat via doppler...

 

Has anyone done this yet or found a HB on a home Doppler?  I am 11 weeks now so I'm just wondering if other ladies have had success... I was looking at some other postings from sites and it's kinda mixed on success or no success at 11-12 weeks

    Sorry it's a rough day.  Hope the nurse vist will help.  With DD2 both my OB and her med student were shocked to actually find the hb at my 12wk appt.  I don't remember hearing it that soon with DD1 but I know her placenta was front and center. Sounds like it could go either way based on baby's position.

    I think with my first the placenta was in front as well. I wonder if that's happening again... This is my 5th pregnancy and feel like I am showing like I'm 4 months a long. After a pelvic exam the doc said It seemed that my uterus is bigger than shed expect, hopefully that's a good thing and will help tomorrow... I almost want to cancel because I'm going to have a heart attack if we DONT find a HB, but I know that NOTHING about this pregnancy has been weird or out of sorts like all 3 of the losses I had... So I'm crossing my fingers, I'll be sure to update tomorrow... Thankfully I have to work from 430am to 11, and am going straight to the doc after that.

    I'm right there with you... by 12 wks you should be able to hear for sure, but you've got a pretty good shot at 11.  I'm 11w1d and I found baby's HB on my home doppler 9w6d.  Took me 3-4 days to find it though.
    TTC #1 Since 4/2010, Cycle 30
    Positive for HLA-B27, I'm a mutant :p
    Testing - Me ok, gluten issue? DH - borderline count, low motility
    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d

    FET#4 12/11/2015 - BFN - 4 blasts remaining
    FET#5 2/18/16 - BFP!!!  Beta1-3, 126, 250, 745!!

    this was my experience as well, and I am not thin (which is supposed to make it harder to find).  Sorry you are having a hard day, and I hope you are able to hear LO :) 

    Miscarriage in January 2012 at 8 weeks
    Subsequently diagnosed with low P4, LOR. MH DX low motility, varicocele 
    BFP in July 2012 (Gonal-f + trigger + IUI#2 (B2B) + prometrium)
    Lost Baby A prior to 7 weeks; large SCH; Baby B (Bug) was born in March 2013
    BFP June 2014; EDD February 19, 2015
