Vomiting question

First I'll introduce myself: Hello! I have been an occasional lurker, not much time to get on here since returning to work. I am seeking advice about vomiting, this is all new to me so TIA.

I received a call on my lunch today that I had to pick ds (he's 10 mos.)up because he threw up 4 times. He was normal all morning but began vomiting around 12:30 or so.

I just got home and he threw up all over me as soon as I got him out of his car seat, it was projectile vomit and it came out of his nose too. It looks like he's vomiting up the bottle he had at daycare. I called the Dr. and the receptionist told me they had no appointments today and to watch him. He is pale and lethargic.

 Does this sound like a bug? He's been coughing this week, doesn't have a fever.

I just don't know how normal this is and don't want to panic if I don't need to.

    I would first ask daycare provider if he had anything that maybe would have given him an allergic reaction. Sounds like it could be a bug but the fact that he doesn't have a fever is strange to me. I would call back the Dr. and see if it is possible to have a bug with no fever and what you should be doing and what to watch out for, and at what point should you be concerned. When DS was vomiting due to an allergy, I was told that if he kept vomiting and couldn't hold anything down, I might have to go to ER to make sure he isn't dehydrated. I was told to wait an hour and then slowly feed, 1 ounce every half hr to an hour and see if he can keep it down. He was able to keep that down when I did it that way. Poor baby, so sorry you have to go through this, it is the worst to see LO vomit!

    We made it through the remainder of the day vomit free!! He took a long nap when we got home and woke up happy. Hope tonight goes well because I put him to bed an hr early.

    I did talk to the nurse and they said to bring him if it didn't improve by tomorrow.

    DC said he didn't have any falls that morning so hope it's just a passing thing.
