your first pp period? tmi

Just curious what others experience was with your first pp period. Mine has been really rather heavy and bright to darker red. I mean I pretty much have to be laying or sitting or I can feel it almost like gush out. Sorry Tmi. It was kind of like this before I was pregnant so I was wondering what others were like so I know what's normal. Thanks!

Your first (or second) pp af is usually pretty heavy - it's been building up for a while. And when you lay or sit, the blood tends to pool up so when you stand it does gush out.

I remember after my first daughter, my first af was really light. My second, however, was horrble. We were traveling through chicago on day 2 or 3, super heavy, and got caught up in traffic downtown.By the time we finally were able to stop, I had soaked through my tampon, jumbo pad, through my pants and onto the car seat. It was horrific. And then I had to go and clean up/change inside the truck stop/gas station. It was horrible. But after that one, it was pretty normal flow.

Thanks. I think I had my first one like last month which was super light, only like three days. And amazing.
This one on the other hand is like total opposite. I hope it is not always this heavy!

Thanks for the post! I've been wondering the same thing. I've had light cramping yesterday and today and I think it's about to start. I was wondering what to expect.
