DS won't take any other paci besides the first years gumdrop ones. But he can't keep it in his mouth. Its frustrating because he won't nap unless he has it and the second it falls out, which is usually the second i lay him down, he wakes up. I have to hold him like all day just so i can hold it in for him. Anyone else had the same problem or have any advice?

He'll eventually be able to hold onto it. It's just one of those things you have to ride out.

My son had the same problem so I purchased the wubbanub.  This helps him to keep it in his mouth but uses a soothie pacifier, not sure if they make with with gum drops.  I also saw an post online where someone made their own, might be worth trying.
