Adoption

hi!

saw your post below about the Korea program :-) we just brought our son home from Korea 2 months ago! he will be 2 years old on November 9th!

I'm not really sure what you mean by "well written" homestudy. your agency and SW should know what Korea looks for in a homestudy and have an idea how to word things. as long as you meet the basic requirements from Korea (as far as length of marriage, health history, etc) you should be fine!

what agency are you going through? we used Holt international and can't recommend them enough! they were awesome!

our son is the best thing we ever did, and honestly couldn't be a more perfect match for us!! the foster moms in Korea take such good care of the kids and really prepare them to come home :-)

I'm sure you know this, too... but the korea program is changing its laws and the process, so things are slowing down with everything. we were matched about 4 months after our homestudy was approved, and then it took  a FULL YEAR until we would travel to bring him home! all because of the goverment regulations, etc in Korea. i'm not saying it wasn't worth it... but waiting and watching our son grow up in pictures was HARD!!! just something to be aware of!

definitely e-mail me if you want to chat lil_mis1 at yahoo.com! good luck!!!
