C Section Birth, 6 weeks PP, Still Bleeding

Is it normal to still be bleeding at 6 weeks post partum. I had a c section with my twins. I have my 6 week appointment tomorrow and I'm going to start birth control but I don't know if it will mess up my cycle starting it now since I still haven't had my first period since the twins were born. At least I don't think I have. I had PCOS and used fertility meds to conceive the twins so I have no idea really how my body is supposed to act now. Any thoughts?

I bled for a long time. Close to 6 weeks. I stopped the day before my 6 week check up. I also had a c section but no fertility meds. My doctor said everyone is different. Some people bleed longer than others

I had a c section and bled for 7 1/2 weeks.. had my first period at 10 weeks PP and it was HEAVY and awful!

Yep, that's normal. You don't start birth control pills until you get your first pp period.

I had PP bleeding until 5 and a half weeks PP. I was put on birth control at my 6 week check up, and started my period at 9weeks.

I experienced a lot of spotting for PP bleeding and some days I had something and others I was dry. My Dr said that everyone is different but that is really common in csections as well as to have PP bleeding a little longer than others.
