Pretend money wasn't a factor in your decision...

For your next pregnancy, would you hire a gestational surrogate? your egg, your partners sperm. someone else carries and delivers for you, and you're involved in the entire process. When the child is born, the carrier will turn the baby over to you and sign away her parental rights.

    No, I don't think I would. I actually enjoyed my pregnancy (except for the c-section), so I wouldn't mind doing it again.  I also think that no matter who the person is, it has to be hard to give up a baby (even if it wasn't really 'yours'), KWIM?

    Nope. Never. (Well... never in this hypothetical question.) When I think of my pregnancy, I don't remember any of the misery. I remember being tired and terrified. Sometimes the only thing to make me feel better was a little squirm or kick to know he was okay in there. I had that doppler on my belly several days in a row when I was getting paranoid. Beyond the fact that I feel an incredible bond with my son after carrying him, I don't think I could maintain my sanity for an entire pregnancy without feeling him.

    No.  I like being pregnant and have enjoyed carrying my babies.  If suddenly couldn't carry my own baby for some reason and money wasn't an issue, then I wouldn't be opposed to having someone else carry the baby though.

    No. Pregnancy wasn't all roses and rainbows, but it was awesome to grow a person. And birth was mind blowingly amazing. I can't wait to do both again.

    No.  I hated pregnancy, but I would find it really hard to completely trust in someone else for such an important job.
    BFP#1 8/7/10, m/c discovered at 14w5d, baby measured 14w2d, Induced and delivered baby girl 10/19/10 (Downs), BFP#2 4/29/11, confirmed missed m/c 6/8/11 BFP#3 8/18/11, EDD 4/28/2012, induced 5/3/12

    No way! I enjoy being pregnant, except when I go overdue! But the bond I've had with my son's while pregnant is so precious. I wouldn't want someone else experiencing that. It helped me to feel connected with them after they were born too. I would feel bad "using" someone to get what I could do myself.

    it depends on why. if something changed and i couldn't carry a baby then I'd consider it.

    I had a rough pregnancy but it was an amazing experience. I hope to do it one more time but then I'm done. It didn't cooperate with my body like i would've liked

    I think the only way I might consider it is if there was no possible way for me to carry a baby myself. I thankfully don't know what I would do in that situation. But to do it just so I wouldn't have to, no way!

    Nope.  I loved being pregnant.  Like, I loved it so much that I've been thinking of becoming a surrogate for others when I'm done, except that I can't imagine wanting to part with the baby.

    No. I hated being pregnant, all except for knowing I was growing my baby inside me. And I wouldn't give that up for the world.
