Daddy Diaper Bag

Did anyone get their DH a separate diaper bag?  Mine wants one that is backpack style, although I'm not sure it's worth the money because it's not often that he's out with DD without me.

 If you got one, what do you recommend?

If I get it, I was going to give it to him at christmas, and also buy some smaller actual husband gifts to wrap and put in all the different compartments in the diaper bag to make it fun....just a thought...

He got one but we haven't been out with DD yet and I haven't gone back to work yet. I think once I go back to work and he is taking her places without me then he will use it. Although my diaper bag is black and green so not real girlie lol I'm sure he could just use that. If we didn't get one I wouldn't buy one.

Lol, no. Mostly for the same reason, DS is always out with me and it's a rare occasion that he's out with SO alone. We have just a plain black EB diaper bag, but still...I wouldn't have a separate one just for him...too much hassle.

I got a bookbag diaper bag so I wouldn't have to get two separate ones. I wouldn't want to switch things back and forth into two bags.

I got my dh a "diaper dude ". It's pretty small and more manly than mine so he was happy. He's yet to use it though. When we're out I have mine and he hasn't taken ds out alone.

Yup. But he is taking family leave in Nov/Dec to stay home with baby, so they'll be out every day without me. He's got a diaper dude backpack.

I got DH one that it turns out I like better than the one I got myself so we will both use it and it will just be out 'diaper bag'. It's a Skip Hop Dash in Charcoal. It's awesome.

Not exactly backpack but we have a diaper dude bag. DH initially hated it but when we went to look at cars he was basically forced to carry it. Now I catch him grabbing it and throwing it over his shoulder all the time. It's not exactly big but has enough space for carrying all the things we need for a 2 month old.

DH is using a tactical bag. It's meant for carrying guns and ammo so when he no longer needs it as a diaper bag, he has it for his guns. Plus, it was cheap and he thought it would make a cool diaper bag.

We got a satchel as opposed to a backpack but its gender neutral cause he didn't want a girly bag, and i understand that. We got the eddie bauer Huntington satchel, and we love it. Easy to clean, lots of compartments, and it cost 40 online

DH used the baby as an excuse to buy a new Patagonia backpack . He has yet to take DD anywhere without me but will be doing daycare pickup (all of 3 blocks away!) when I go back to work.

DH got his own diaper bag since mine is really girly. He hasn't used it much, but it came in handy when I was in the hospital unexpectedly for a few days... His is a White Sox messenger bag from Buy Buy Baby.

My husband likes the one I got him. It's messenger bag style, but I didn't spend a lot of money on it because like PP's said, it's not very often that he's out with the baby and I'm not there too.

A friend of mine got my hubby one. He loves it. It's an Eddie bauer bag that kind of looks like a small gym bag. He likes it because he says my diaper bag looks like a purse.

my diaper bag IS a back pack. I bought a $20 blackback pack from target.... we just have diapers, wipes, extra clothes and i put in a couple bottles with powder everytime we go out. everythings all throw in hap hazardly but there ist all that much in it so right now its no biggie...

Dh has a diaper dude but hasn't left the house without me. it's also still in storage.

Wondering what you would need to switch over by having two diaper bags? Why can't you just pack 2?
