Help with latch

I left a message for an LC but in the meantime I'm looking for advice.....
DD is 10 days old and immediately did well with latching and nursing. Every once in awhile shed have trouble and just bob her head around without actually latching onto the breast. But that was infrequent and I could usually get her to latch by takibg a break to change her diaper or trying a different position etc.
But recently the open mouthed head bobbing has taken over and it seems impossible to get her to latch and nurse properly. I tried for over 2 hours last night and I finally broke down and face her a bottle of formula because I couldn't take the madness any longer. It took me over 2 hours to feed her enough this am that she was comfortable to go to sleep. I can't even figure out when she should be eating next because each feeding takes so long it runs into the next one! HELP!

Oh, that head bob! DS does it every once in awhile and it drives me crazy because he'll either latch perfectly on the first try or just headbutt my boob while becoming more and more frantic.
I'm not very experienced in breastfeeding, but the diaper change is a good one, as well as checking to make sure your LO is at a comfortable temperature. Sometimes I would undress him and that would help stop the bobbing.
Also, I know it's tough, but I wouldn't worry about the timing of the feedings as much as possible. Concentrate on trying to feed her when she seems hungry and don't waste your energy stressing over whether or not she ate two hours ago or ate for 10 minutes or 2 or whatever. I know for me, it helps a lot to make sure DS has a proper number of dirty and wet diapers instead of tracking his feeding times.
Sometimes, I'm hilarious.
