Hi ladies! My LO was born at 32 weeks last year, and is now 14 months old. At her one year appointment, she was still not on the charts at 14lbs 14.5oz and 26.5inches. Our pediatrician sent us for multiple tests to ensure there was nothing inhibiting her growth, and thankfully, everything came back normal. I was just wondering if anyone else's preemie took more than a year to "catch up" in terms of growth. Developmentally, she's right on track, just really tiny. I wonder if she'll always be petite (doesn't seem likely since I'm 5'9" and MH is 6'2") or if one night she'll just double in size!
Re: When did your preemie get on the charts?
Mine isn't on the charts either. But the doctor doesn't seem to be worried. She's charting her, and her growth arc looks the same as those on the chart. It's just underneath the rest.
My 31 weeker was on the charts for weight pretty quickly. He has been between 35-50th percentile for weight. At his 1 year appointment he was 50th percentile. But for length he is riding the very bottom of the charts. He will be going the first week of November for his next well baby so I am curious to see where he ends up on the charts
